TOWN OF STONEWALL – PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

1746 US HIGHWAY 171 STONEWALL, LOUISIANA 71078: JANUARY 29, 2026, 6:00 P.M.

 

           

The Stonewall Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission met with 6 visitors. The members present were Charles Watson, Pat Jones, Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins, John Alvarez, Craig Roberson, and Dusty Roach. Planning & Zoning Member John Cristler resigned. Mayor Ken Kaffka was present.  

 

Motion to dispense with the reading of December 18, 2025, minutes and adoption was made by P&Z Member Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins and seconded by P&Z Member Pat Jones. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

 

OLD BUSINESS: None.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

A) Request approval of the Master Plan and Unit 1 preliminary plat for Stone Grove Subdivision with an entrance/exit on Stanley Road near Pine Grove Road. This proposed subdivision will consist of approximately 158

Lots with a sewer system. Request a variance to maintain one entrance/exit as an exit only. Discussion followed. P&Z Member Craig Roberson made a motion to approve with a variance, seconded by P&Z Member John

Alvarez. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.

 

B) Consideration of Building Standards: Tim Pruitt – New Gymnastics & Dance Facility on Highway 171. Discussion followed. P&Z Member Pat Jones made a motion to approve, seconded by P&Z Member Jeanene

Sanders-Wiggins. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.

 

Motion to adjourn the meeting by P&Z Member Craig Roberson, seconded by P&Z Member Pat Jones, 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.
