TOWN OF STONEWALL – PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

The Stonewall Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission met with 5 visitors. The members present were John Alvarez, Pat Jones, Craig Roberson, Jody Raney, Kirk Dickson, and Kerry Staniford. P&Z Member absent was Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins. Also present was Mayor Randy Rodgers.

Motion to dispense with the reading of July 16, 2026, minutes and adoption was made by P&Z Member Pat Jones, and seconded by P&Z Member Craig Roberson. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS:

A)Finalize updates for the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances.

NEW BUSINESS:

A) Brassica Farm Variance: Motion to open public hearing to discuss variance. Motion carried. Discussion of existing variance and satisfaction of conditions of variance. Motion to close the public hearing. Motion carried. Motion made by Craig Roberson to allow current variance to expire and to accept construction of Brassica Farms as presented by Angelo DePrimo, seconded by Kerry Staniford. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried. Motion carried.

B) Building Standards: POE Federal Credit Union – Discussion followed. P&Z Member Craig Roberson made a motion to approve the exterior design, seconded by P&Z Member John Alvarez. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.

 

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by P&Z Member Pat Jones, seconded by Kirk Dickson.
