TOWN OF STONEWALL – PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

1746 US HIGHWAY 171 STONEWALL, LOUISIANA 71078: DECEMBER 18, 2025, 6:00 P.M.

 

           

The Stonewall Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission met with 4 visitors. The members present were Charles Watson, Pat Jones, Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins, John Alvarez, and Dusty Roach. Planning & Zoning Members John Cristler & Craig Roberson were absent. Mayor Ken Kaffka and Attorney Josh Chevallier were also present.  

 

Motion to dispense with the reading of October 30, 2025, minutes and adoption was made by P&Z Member Pat Jones and seconded by P&Z Member Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins. 5 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 2 ABSENT. Motion carried.

REPORTS: None.

 

PUBLIC COMMENT: Randy Rodgers & Angelo Deprimo made comments about Brassica Farms.  

 

OLD BUSINESS: None.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

A) Consideration of an amendment to building standards for Brassica Farms. Discussion

followed. P&Z Member Dusty Roach made a motion to approve the amendment to the

building plans for Brassica Farms, seconded by P&Z Member Pat Jones. 5 YEAS, 0

NAYS, 2 ABSENT. Motion carried.

 

B) Request a temporary variance to complete Brassica Farms as a multi-structure project

in its initial phase. Discussion followed. P&Z Member John Alvarez made a motion to

recommend the variance to the Town Council and to be completed in six months, seconded

by P&Z Member Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins. 4 YEAS, 1 NAYS, 2 ABSENT. Motion

carried.

 

Motion to adjourn the meeting by P&Z Member Dusty Roach, 5 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 2 ABSENT. Motion carried.
