TOWN OF STONEWALL – PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
1746 US HIGHWAY 171 STONEWALL, LOUISIANA 71078: JUNE 21, 2022, 6:00 P.M.

 

               

The Stonewall Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission met with 7 visitors. Members present were Charles Watson, John Collins, Wayne Chriss, and Josh Black. Members Charles Waldon and Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins were absent. Mayor Randal Rodgers and Attorney Josh Chevallier were also present.

PUBLIC COMMENT: None

OLD BUSINESS:

(a) Rezone lot 7 of Baldwin Acres, excluding the first 600 feet from the center of Highway

171 North, from residential to commercial SC District. Discussion followed. P&Z member

Josh Black made the motion to re-zone that portion of Lot 7 of Baldwin Acres that is not

currently zoned commercial, SC District, being that portion of Lot 7 of Baldwin Acres

greater than 600 feet from the centerline of Highway 171, from residential to commercial,

SC District, seconded by John Collins. 3 YEAS, 1 NAY, 2 ABSENT. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

(a) Request approval for a fence behind Crawfish Depeaux. Discussion followed. P&Z

member Josh Black made the motion to allow the fence as long as it is by the standards,

seconded by P&Z member Wayne Chriss. 4 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 2 ABSENT. Motion carried.

(b) Subdivide Lot 1 of Rolling Hills Subdivision into two lots. Discussion followed. P&Z

member Wayne Chriss made the motion to allow the subdivision of Lot 1 of Rolling Hills,

seconded by P&Z member Josh Black.  4 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 2 ABSENT. Motion carried.        

 

Motion to adjourn the meeting by P&Z member John Collins, seconded by P&Z member Wayne Chriss. 4 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 2 ABSENT. Motion carried.
