TOWN OF STONEWALL – PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

1746 US HIGHWAY 171 STONEWALL, LOUISIANA 71078: MARCH 19, 2026, 6:00 P.M.

The Stonewall Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission met with 7 visitors. The members present were Charles Watson, Pat Jones, John Alvarez, Craig Roberson, Jody Raney, and Dusty Roach. Planning & Zoning Commission Member Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins was absent. Mayor Ken Kaffka was present.

Motion to dispense with the reading of January 29, 2026, minutes and adoption was made by P&Z Member Craig Roberson and seconded by P&Z Member Pat Jones. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.

REPORTS: None.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

OLD BUSINESS: None.

NEW BUSINESS:

A) Request approval of an amended plat for Stone Grove Subdivision to one-acre lots and a request for a variance for the second entrance/exit. Discussion followed. P&Z Member Jody Raney made a motion to approve the amended plat and a variance to allow for only one entrance/exit, seconded by P&Z Member Craig Roberson. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.

B) Recommend approval of the acceptance of the street and right-of-way within McCune Farms Subdivision to the Town Council. Discussion followed. P&Z Member Pat Jones made a motion to recommend the acceptance to the Town Council, seconded by P&Z Member Dusty Roach. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.

C) Discuss updating Ordinances. Discussion followed.

Motion to adjourn the meeting by P&Z Member Pat Jones, seconded by P&Z Member Dusty Roach, 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.
