The Stonewall Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission met with 84 visitors. The members present were Charles Watson, John Alvarez, Pat Jones, Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins, John Cristler, Dusty Roach, and Craig Roberson. Mayor Ken Kaffka and Town Attorney Josh Chevallier were also present.  

Motion to dispense with the reading of December 12, 2024, minutes and adoption was made by P&Z Member Pat Jones and seconded by P&Z Member John Alvarez. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.

REPORTS: None.

PUBLIC COMMENT: Multiple residents spoke in opposition to the proposed apartments.

OLD BUSINESS: None.

NEW BUSINESS:

a) Recommend approving a Resolution certifying Planning & Zoning Members receiving required training. Discussion followed. P&Z Member John Alvarez made a motion to

approve the resolution, seconded by P&Z Member Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.

b) Discuss proposed apartments on Highway 3276 and make a motion. Discussion followed. P&Z Member John Alvarez made a motion to deny the request for a variance of

the density requirements in the Subdivision Ordinance, seconded by P&Z Member Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.

c) Discuss Griffin Estates proposed Unit 5 entrance/exit onto Middleton Road and make a motion. Discussion followed. P&Z Member Craig Roberson made a motion to approve, but the motion failed for a second.

d) Consideration of building standards.

- Exterior design for a new commercial building in front of Plantation Hills. Discussion followed. P&Z Member Pat Jones made a motion to approve, seconded by P&Z Member John Cristler. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.

- Exterior design for Brassica Farm at Stonewall. Discussion followed. P&Z Member Craig Roberson made a motion to approve, seconded by P&Z Member Pat Jones. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.

- Exterior design for Burford 171 Development. Discussion followed. P&Z Member Pat Jones made a motion to approve, seconded by P&Z Member Craig Roberson. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.
