TOWN OF STONEWALL – PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

The Stonewall Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission met with 9 visitors. The members present were Charles Watson, John Alvarez, Pat Jones, Dusty Roach, and Craig Roberson. Member Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins was present at 6:03 pm and John Cristler was present at 6:05 pm. Mayor Ken Kaffka was also present.
Motion to dispense with the reading of November 14, 2024, minutes and adoption was made by P&Z Member Pat Jones and seconded by P&Z Member John Alvarez. 7 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:
a) Recommend approving the Burford Development a Commercial Subdivision being a tract of land located in Section 32, Township 15N, Range 14W, containing 10.01
acres. Discussion followed. P&Z Member Craig Roberson made a motion to approve, seconded by P&Z Member John Alvarez. 7 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.
b) Recommend the rezone of .38 acres of Parcel #0200191900 from Residential to SC Commercial. Discussion followed. P&Z Member John Alvarez made a motion to
approve, seconded by P&Z Member John Cristler. 7 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.
c) Request approval of Stonewall City Center’s Master Plan of a 9-acre plat for Commercial businesses located at 4753 Highway 3276. Discussion followed. P&Z Member Pat Jones made a motion to approve, seconded by P&Z Member Craig Roberson. 7 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.
d) Request approval for Griffin Estates Unit 4 plat and construction plans. Discussion followed. P&Z Member John Cristler made a motion to approve per a favorable recommendation by the Town’s Engineering Firm, seconded by P&Z Member John Alvarez. 7 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT. Motion carried.
e) Consideration of building standards. None.
