TOWN OF STONEWALL – PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
1746 US HIGHWAY 171 STONEWALL, LOUISIANA 71078: MARCH 05, 2024, 6:00 P.M.

 

The Stonewall Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission met with 3 visitors. Members present were Charles Watson, Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins, John Alvarez, Pat Jones, Josh Black, and John Cristler. Member Wayne Chriss was absent. Mayor Ken Kaffka and Town Attorney Josh Chevallier were present.

Motion to dispense with the reading of February 08, 2024, minutes and adoption was made by P&Z member Pat Jones and seconded by P&Z member John Cristler. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT: None

OLD BUSINESS:

a) Requesting a variance to have a third commercial entrance/exit on Pine Grove Road to enter Highway 3276. Discussion followed. P&Z member Josh Black made a motion to grant the variance, seconded by P&Z member John Cristler. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

a) Request to re-subdivide Lot 18, a five-acre lot, in “The Meadow” subdivision to 1 – one-acre lot and 1 – four-acre lot. Discussion followed. P&Z member Josh Black made a motion to approve, seconded by P&Z member John Alvarez. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn the meeting by P&Z member Pat Jones, seconded by P&Z member Jeanene Sanders-Wiggins. 6 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.
