TOWN OF STONEWALL – SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

The Stonewall Town Council met during a special session with 2 visitors. A roll call was taken, Council members present were Robert Baker, Margaret Dickerson, Brandon Garsee, and Don Crosslin. Council Member Eric Runge was absent. Mayor Ken Kaffka was also present. Prayer was led by Council member Don Crosslin. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council member Margaret Dickerson.

OLD BUSINESS: None.
NEW BUSINESS:
a) Recommend approving the lowest bid for the Rambin Road Improvements (Phase 1). Discussion followed. Council member Brandon Garsee made a motion to approve the lowest bid from M&M Builders, seconded by Council member Margaret Dickerson. 4 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.
b) Recommend approving the lowest proposal for the renovation of the community center’s flooring in the large room and hallways. Discussion followed. Council member Robert Baker made a motion to approve M.L. Watson Construction Services, seconded by Council member Don Crosslin. 4 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.
c) Recommend approving payment to Ms. Wilhite to purchase Stanley Road right-of-way and to relocate her fence. Discussion followed. Council member Brandon Garsee made a motion to approve the payment and relocate her fence, seconded by Council member Robert Baker. 4 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.
Council Member Robert Baker made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Margaret Dickerson. 4 YEAS, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSENT. Motion carried.
