Burn Ban Permits: Now required for fire prevention and protection. Any person outside the unincorporated areas of DeSoto Parish is required by Parish Ordinance to obtain a burn permit before starting a fire. To obtain a permit call 1-855-600-BURN (2876). This is a non-emergency E911 number where they will issue a permit and notify the respective fire protection district. Issuance of Burn Permits will be denied if a Burn Ban is in effect. Burn Permits are not required for persons owning, renting, or leasing residential property and performing ordinary and routine yard work on the residential property.

Council on Aging: Council on Aging is located in the Community Center in room #1 at the Stonewall Community Park. Their hours are Monday-Thursday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm and Fridays 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
